This policy explains how RVFixWise guides are researched, written, reviewed and corrected.
Sourcing
- We cite only sources that were actually read while preparing the guide.
- Manufacturer manuals come first. Where a manual for your exact model exists, it overrides anything written here.
- Public agency guidance (for example, government safety and consumer agencies) is used next, followed by recognized industry bodies.
- We do not invent figures, prices, statistics, quotes, reviews or sources. Where costs depend on many factors, we describe the factors and say that prices vary instead of quoting a number we cannot support.
Safety
Guides that touch propane or gas, electrical systems, carbon monoxide, structural parts or similar hazards state when to stop and contact a qualified professional. Safety thresholds are taken from the cited manufacturer or agency source, not from our own judgment.
Review
Every guide is checked against its cited sources before publication.
Updates and corrections
We revisit guides when sources change or when a reader reports a problem. Substantive corrections are made promptly. To report an error, see Corrections.
